I began my career as a corporate designer and art director, and went solo in 1991.
Since then, I've been creating images and dimensional assemblages for clients, collectors, institutions and public installations.
As I love exploring creativity with others, I mentor and teach workshops locally and at facilities including Maine Media Workshops, Santa Fe Workshops, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Lepp Digital Institute, Vancouver Photo Workshops, Bald Head Island Arts and UnCruise.
I also lead cultural travel and street photography workshops in Cuba, India, Sri Lanka, Amsterdam, Paris, Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico. I am faculty at Seattle Central Creative Academy and University of Washington's photography program where I have been twice nominated for the Distinguished Teaching Award.
To share my ideas, I've published articles in AfterCapture, Nikon World, Outside, Geo, Islands, Conde Nast Traveller, LA Times, NY Times, Audubon, Outdoor Photographer, Digital Photo Pro, Rangefinder, SHOTS, FUJILove, in books and guest host the podcast Hit The Streets. I shoot exclusively with Fujifilm X cameras as a Fujifilm X Delegate photographer.
When not immersed in my home studio lined with favorite collected objects and vintage technology, I travel, kayak, explore nature and any place abandoned and inviting.
I enjoy meeting new friends, so feel free to get in touch.
